Transforming the world on tuesday.

Welcome to Transformation Tuesday!
In my last post I shared the very exciting story of how I got my globe.

Now I would like to share with you its transformation.
The before:
The vision:
A contemporary piece of artwork that I can mark where I want to go.

The tools:
Basics Acrylic paint colors: Bright Aqua, Emerald and Copper and a synthetic brush.

The location:
I wasn't positive at the time where I would want to put it, so I didn't get a shot of the before location, but I will try to give you a visual. I had a tall jewlery armoire type thing in a dark stain with a white starfish table decor and a small statue of a seahorse on top. Oh, I also had an unappealing stack of magazines between the legs.
The after:

First I painted the stand with coppera(about three coats); it's like a shiny new penny! ;)
I then went on to mix 2/3 Bright Aqua to 1/3 Emerald to paint over the globe itself. It looked a big to plain when I finished so I decided to have a little fun on the equator.
I have noticed that the paint scratches off very easily on the surface of the globe, so may plan is to us a sharp point and simply outline everywhere I want to go or I may try to find a white sharpie.

New location:
I had this stand in my closet, with a broken ceramic top, I flipped it over and placed my starfish table decor on top; perfect fit! Since I removed my armoire-now in my closet- I realized I still needed easy access to all of my regularly worn necklaces, so I hung them on the starfish.(I love useful decor) I took my unruly magazine pile and threw out all but my "Instyle ones" I kept three, that matched the tone of my room out, as where the other 20 are in my closet. I used blue burlap that is already in various locations in my room to tie everything in and placed a couple shells on that.

Overall:
I love it! It goes perfectly with everything else in my room. I can't wait to outline my travel dreams!

Have you been doing any fun re-vamping lately?

Monday Review

Another exciting week. I think I may just be busy for the rest of my life. haha

This week was filled with late nights, fun, music and creating!

Last monday, my brothers got to sub in on my Dad's softball team again! So much fun to watch and practice with them beforehand. It is somewhat of a tradition to go to BWW after the games, so that is just what we did :)

My Sister and neices came a long too! They sure do love their Uncles and having them lose at Tic Tac Toe. "You can't block me; it's a rule!" Lots of laughs

Jordan felt defeated ;)

Tuesday was a little off.

But got better when I decided to create; Transformation Tuesday!(Next Post)
Cool story: One day, a couple weeks ago, I decided that I really wanted a globe to document where I've been and where I want to go. I looked on Ebay the next day, and after searching I decided that I would believe in God for the Globe instead of buying it myself-who doesn't want to save money, right? Less than a week later I went over to my best friends, the Medin's, who had just cleaned out an area in their home and had things to get rid of. Lo and behold a Globe was one of those things! Talk about favor!
Excited I was!

Wednesday=Tribal. A blast to watch! Slip and Kick is not my friend. Afterwards we went to DQ. It was an amazing time filled with lots of laughter!

Friday. Benefit concert in Butternut, or squash as I like to call it. Wonderful time, weird weather.
Julio, a.k.a True Chico-and Dj I-Serve- rocked it! Love how he shares the message of Christ.

To Be A Man also did very well! They are fun to watch. I didn't get a full band pic, but I did get one of Daff singing with Jake, they did a great job!

And Breakthrough, of course. I don't know how it is possible, but they get better and better every time! I always enjoy their shows..

and spending time with them before their set.
Best friend right there I

Crazy Week

Could I possibly squeeze any more work and activity into my week? Doubtful. 'twas absolutely exhausting, but brilliantly fun at the same time.
:)

Wednesday, TRIBAL!!
Doxa(δόξα) is a greek word meaning common belief or popular opinion. It did pick up a new meaning between the 3rd and 1st century BC though, glory! Pretty cool.

My team is pretty amaze. Four of our guys won the water indurance challenge, which looked crazy difficult ;they definitely practiced the art of mind over matter.
GAGA. I made it to the final four in the leader round; me against three Dynatos, two of which were EST and Jenna F, who are amazingly good. All I kept hearing was Katniss, "May the odds be ever in your favor" mockingly of course. Pun unintended.

Thrusday, was beautiful, so I took a walk outside during work.. There should have been an 'X' on the loading dock, because I surely found treasure! This tempered glass shattered absolutely beautifully;I am so excited to create something with this!

Friday, I worked a long day, but I enjoyed it, especially since I felt as though I earned my friday night ventures.
Mini golf.

Applebees and flapdoodles; boneless wings and Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Ice cream. Delicious.

Saturday, was go, go, go, day! Helped my dad in the a.m, ran errands in the afternoon, grad party and then concert!
The concert was at The River Event Center in Byron. Great venue, great people. Four bands total. The second band, Apollos, I had never heard of, they are fantastic! Ambient rock; think Angels and Airwaves, but better. I had to buy their CD!

Next up, my lovely best friends, Breakthrough, who are always amazing, even through such technical difficulties. The Devil was surely trying to take down the ministry. Without success, obviously.

Crecencio, aka Masta Cenci, got to join them on stage as well. "Hold up wait a minute"

Last, but surely not least, Saving Vinyl City. Great group, they were so much fun!

Who knew Batman could play guitar?

Fathers day was gorgeous! My Daddy, little bro and I found a field.
Shagging balls was hilar, I thought I could keep up, but no. 48 balls and I am pretty sure I could only carry 10.

Whew, that was lengthy.
Thanks for reading, enjoy your week everyone!

Genesis

In the beginning...

I decided to make a blog!

Short and sweet to start; better be prepared to read a novel and be bored from here on out though.
Just kidding.
This blog is going to be 'a day in the life' which is certainly not boring.

God+Faith+Family+Frienships+Dreams+Design+Art+Film+Adventure+Music+Laughter+Beautifulthings

The end.

Check back soon for my week in recap!
